Cook a lomo saltado and spoil your family with this Peruvian dish

  1. Yellow Potato (5 units)
  2. Vegetable Oil 6 (tbsp)
  3. Finely Chopped Garlic (1 tbsp)
  4. Washed Rice (2 cups)
  5. Shelled Corn (1 unit)
  6. Butter (1 tbsp)
  7. Fine loin, Huachalomo or hip (250 grams)
  8. Red Onion in Segments (1 unit)
  9. Yellow chili in strips (1 unit)
  10. White or Red Vinegar (2 tablespoons)
  11. Tomato in segments (1 units)
  12. Oyster Sauce (3 tbsp)
  13. Clear Soy Sauce (4 tbsp)
  14. Chinese onion in sticks (to taste)
  15. Cilantro (to taste)
  16. Salt and pepper to taste)


1. Boil the 5 yellow potatoes, with salt and half a cup of water. Take them out and reserve.

2. In another pot, prepare the rice. First, fry the garlic, then add the washed rice and toast it for a few seconds, and then add the water and the shelled corn (to taste), with the salt. If you like, you can add a little butter.

3. On a board, cut the thin loin into small pieces and then add salt and pepper to taste.

4. In a hot frying pan, add the oil and fry the thin loin for a few minutes until it is cooked.

5. In another pan, add the onion cut into small squares; yellow pepper cut into thin strips; cook over high heat for a minute and remove. Booking. On a board, cut the tomato into segments and reserve.

6. In a container add the tablespoons of clear soy sauce, the oyster sauce, the tablespoons of white or red vinegar, 1/4 cup of water and mix.

7. Add the loin sauce to the pan and cook for a few minutes until the mixture acquires consistency.

8. When the sauce is ready, add the loin meat, the reserved vegetables, the Chinese onion chopped into small squares (to taste) and the chopped coriander (to taste). Sauté and serve hot.

9. If you like you can fry the potatoes before serving the loin with rice.
